Bayede! XO Royal Cape Brandyis a certified Cape Brandy – the highest standard designated to a distilled beverage in South African law. It is made by Oude Molen Distillers in the Elgin Valley.

Every bottle of Bayede! XO Royal Cape Brandy is decorated with 10 strings of hand crafted traditional Zulu beads.

Distilled using grapes from the Cape Winelands, Bayede! XO Royal Cape Brandy is formulated by brandy master Kobus Gelderblom. The blend consists of selected lots of French and American oak barrels, with a minimum age of 10 years and features a remarkable interplay between dried fruit, cloves and curry leaf aromas – a rare and surprising combination. The gold medal awarded to the Cape Brandy at the recent Old Mutual Spirits Trophy competition underscores the product’s quality credentials.
Bayede! XO Royal Cape Brandy’sname is derived from the traditional greeting reserved for the Zulu king. Shouts of “Wena Wendlovu” follow the “Bayede!” salute, honouring the king by likening him to the mighty African elephant. The salute means “Hail the King!”
As with South African brandy, it is a tradition that spans centuries.
